1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 package of hotdogs
1 bag of Osem Israeli Pearl Couscous (8.8 ounces)
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp onion soup mix
1 tsp paprika (for color)
1 1/4 cup water
Salt to taste
1
In a saucepan, heat a drizzle of oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until golden. Stir in the crushed garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
2
Slice the hot dogs into ¼-inch rounds. Add them to the pan and cook with the onions for 3–4 minutes, until heated through and lightly browned.
3
Stir in the couscous and cook for 1–2 minutes, mixing constantly to lightly toast.
4
Add the onion soup mix, paprika, salt, tomato paste, and water. Stir well to combine.
5
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low simmer. Cover and cook for 10–15 minutes, until the couscous is tender and the liquid has absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving and enjoy this easy, kid-friendly one-pot meal.
