
1 lb pasta
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
3 cloves of garlic , crushed
1 cup pesto
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Sauté the garlic:
Heat olive oil (and butter, if using) in a large pan over medium heat. Once melted and warm, add the garlic and cook until fragrant and lightly golden—about 1 minute.

Make the sauce:
Stir in the pesto and cream. Mix until fully combined. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Cook the pasta:
While the sauce simmers, cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain.

Combine:
Add the cooked pasta directly to the sauce along with freshly grated Parmesan. Toss until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve warm with extra Parmesan on top.
